If you have had the card for awhile (Several Months) and have always been in good standing, the easiest way is to call the credit card issuer and ask if you qualify for a reduction in your interest rate. On a couple of my credit cards I can actually do this online and the lower interest rate take effect immediately. GOOD LUCK

Call them and ask for reduction, if you have a good credit, they should not give you such a high interest rate. Go to creditcard.com and check another credit card, open another card and transfer the balance. Same of the credit card will give you a 0% for transfer from another card.Good Luck!

Call customer service and ask them to reduce it. They will, if you have been a customer for a while, and been on time in making payments. It is unusual to have 30%+, unless you failed even one time to make timely payments. Sometimes, you have to go and get a different c/c with another company, and threaten to cancel your first card. If the first card won%26#039;t lower the 30%, then transfer your balance to the new card.

If you have a house the easiest way is to refinance...because the interest rate will be a lot lower and also you can make all that interest tax deductible...thats the best way to get rid of it and then CLOSE THAT CARD.

You can always try a balance transfer with a 0% offer first, but they only delay the inevitable as far as I%26#039;m concerned.

DAMN!!!!!!!! 30% that is too high for any amount of credit. Calling hasn%26#039;t worked for me but try to pay that sucker off and close it ASAP. You can also try applying for another card with lower interest and see if you can do a balance transfer.
