If you qualify for a much better rate now, the fees associated with the refinance are very minimal and you can save money on your monthly payment for the same remaining loan term, then yes it is a very good decision. You can%26#039;t refinance a car. For one thing, if you%26#039;ve only paid 3 yrs on it, it%26#039;s probably worth less than the loan balance due to depreciation. I%26#039;ve been paying for 4 yrs on a low end car that was one year old when I bought it and It%26#039;s still worth less than the loan balance
